With more than 1.1 million LGBTQ visitors annually, greater Fort Lauderdale is proudly Florida’s gay capital. In conjunction with the popular gayborhood, Wilton Manors, there are over 200 gay-owned establishments to peruse from. Here’s four ways to celebrate.
While Fort Lauderdale boasts miles of pristine coastline, Sebastian Street Beach is crowned “Hottest U.S. Gay Beach” by Out Traveler for good reason. Look for rainbow beach umbrellas and find it on the corner of Sebastian Street and A1A.

The Pride Center at Equality Park also hosts an “Everything Under the Rainbow” Flea Market. The market features over 50 vendors, live music, and more. Find vintage treasures and artisan décor while haggling for the best prices under the sun.
If you’re a history buff or would love to learn more about LGBTQ history, The Stonewall National Museum & Archives is known as the “LGBTQ community’s Smithsonian” and is the largest gay library and archive in the nation.
